Special Education Programs

Legacy Preparatory Charter Academy offers special programs designed to help students to reach their full academic potential:

• Special Education Services: Legacy PCA provides each student with an individualized program designed in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Act.
• English as a Second Language: provides English instruction to second language learners.
• Dual Language: students can become bilingual and bi-literate.
• Response to Intervention (RTI): early intervention and support for struggling students.
• Gifted and Talented (GT): services for students in the GT program.

Academic Systems

• New Tech Network: Provides access to the latest advances in educational technology and Project Based Learning Experiences. 
• PK-5 Dual Language Program: This program promotes bilingual and bi-literate learners who are critical thinkers and leaders in a competitive global society.
• Spanish Language Program: Provides our scholars the opportunity to continue their Spanish language acquisition at their tested level.
• Chinese Language Program: Learn the Chinese language and experience Chinese culture. Our program is centered around the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages.
• Advanced Middle School Program: Beginning in 6th grade, students will have the opportunity to take advanced courses and earn a maximum of 7 high school credits.
• P-TECH: Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools (P-TECH) are open-enrollment high schools where students can earn a high school diploma and possibly an associate degree, Level 1 or Level 2 certificate, or industry-based certification.
• Second Step® Mind Up: Second Step® social-emotional learning (SEL) programs empower preschoolers, teens, and people of all ages to build skills for success.
